A native of Dubai, photographer Reem Al Ghaith inspects and scrutinises the transformations in the urban and social landscape of the United Arab Emirates.

Born in 1985, Al Ghaith’s photographs and sculptural installations are informed by her perceptions of her hometown, which has mushroomed into a burgeoning metropolis attracting people and businesses from around the world. Al Ghaith combines her talents in graphic design, printmaking and photography to contribute to a debate about how the changes taking place around her relate to tradition and history.

She has exhibited her work in Bulgaria, Germany, Abu Dhabi, New York, Sharjah and Australia.
