A year ago, the first edition of On This Land was created as a collective instinct and response to the war, a triangulated collaboration between Alserkal Arts Foundation, Barjeel Art Foundation, and the Palestinian Museum. Today, the exhibition reaches new ground across borders: The Shaikh Ebrahim Center is now proud to host it in Bahrain at the Bin Matar House in Muharraq.

On This Land creates a platform for Palestinian narratives, where art becomes a medium of resistance, remembrance, and hope. The exhibition brings together photographs from the Palestinian Museum digital archive, with modern and contemporary artworks from the Barjeel Art Foundation and important private collections in Bahrain in an unrehearsed dialogue between modern and contemporary art and photographic archives.
